Reuters – Data visualisation developer

Aug 2018 – Present

• Conceptualised and designed interactive graphics for breaking news and feature stories read by millions of people worldwide. It involved news reporting, data gathering and analysis, information visualisation and front-end web development.
• Worked on graphics coverage for the Ukraine war and COVID-19 along with environmental topics like the Locust invasion in Africa, Melting permafrost in the Arctic and Winter air pollution in north India.
• Built internal tooling for data scraping and visualisation.

National Institute of Design – Visiting Faculty ****

Apr 2021 – Present

• Taught data representation and visualisation, cartography in QGIS to Master’s design students. Guided them through projects that involved creation of static visualisations, data narratives and map-driven visual stories.
